Foundational Improv

The improvisation classes that started them all

Here, all Players begin at the same place to build a solid foundation in the art form of improvisation.

You'll learn the principles of improvisation that help players survive “in the now” on stage—skills that help you thrive in life too. Each succeeding level builds on these skills.

Complete our 12-month program and you'll also learn essential stage frameworks, instant character creation, storytelling mastery, comedy and drama devices, and put it all to work in a grad show in front of an audience.

Each level of instruction includes live performance opportunities.

Fee: $200/month

Class Dates: Starts August 22, 2023

Time: 6:30-9:30PM

 Learning Environment Commitment

Players Workshop is dedicated to creating a safe, non-judgmental learning environment for students and teachers. If you’re doing it right, you’ll find out some truths about yourself and the world at large that may surprise you. This can lead to feeling vulnerable, which is why we maintain a safe space for students to work in. We steadfastly believe in creating a space of unconditional and universal acceptance for everyone as they choose to define themselves. However, we will enforce a zero tolerance for exclusionary or threatening behavior (physical or verbal) of any kind. Basically, be nice. We’re astronauts on a rock floating through space—so play nice.
